Our Philosophy

Our mission is simple: to help high school athletes achieve their dream of playing post-secondary volleyball. We are dedicated to crafting top-tier programs that adapt to school, club and off seasons, led by highly qualified and experienced coaches. This commitment ensures that each participant grows not only as an athlete but also as an individual.

Under Coach Cornwall's guidance, our group training emphasizes skill development, while Coach Harris focuses on the recruiting process and the mental preparation needed to succeed as a collegiate athlete. We equip athletes with the tools and support necessary to achieve their goals of advancing to the next level.

By fostering a culture of athletic excellence, positive attitude, and relentless effort, we are dedicated to supporting you every step of the way on your journey to post-secondary success.

The Founders

We’re Nikki and Maleki Harris, a couple dedicated to guiding young athletes through their sports journeys. With our professional sports backgrounds, we’ve experienced firsthand the gaps in information available to aspiring athletes and their families. We’re here to share our expertise and support you in reaching your athletic goals!

Our passion stems from our own high school experiences, where we often lacked the necessary support during the recruiting process. We know how challenging it can be to navigate this journey, and we prioritize the needs of each individual athlete, regardless of their school and club teams.

For instance, Coach Cornwall always dreamed of being a setter but was consistently placed as a right side due to her club team's needs. While she loved her team, she missed out on essential training opportunities for her desired position. Our programming is designed to address such aspirations, allowing athletes to focus on the skills they truly want to develop.

Having faced recruiting challenges ourselves, we understand the frustration of feeling lost and unsupported. We took charge by editing tournament videos, reaching out to coaches, and mastering the complexities of recruitment. We believe that with the right guidance, you can navigate this process effectively on your own.

That’s why we’ve developed comprehensive recruiting assistance through our High School Programs and compiled our insights into a book. These resources provide everything you need to start navigating the recruitment journey independently.

With our support, you can confidently take charge of your athletic future and pursue your dreams. Our goal is simple: to help you achieve yours!

I'm Nikki, a former professional volleyball player turned full-time coach with a passion for developing athletes. My volleyball journey began in grade 7, playing for three different clubs for various reasons, leading me to compete at the highest level in Canada (USport). During my time at TWU, I contributed to our first-ever CanWest Championship and National Championship victories, earning accolades such as the Ray Lepp Scholarship, First Team All Canadian Awards, and Tournament MVP at the USport (CIS) Nationals in 2015.

Following my collegiate career, I trained with the National Excellence Program (NEP) and the Senior National Team for a few summers. We traveled to South Korea as well as Taiwan, where I was chosen as captain for Team Canada at the FISU Universiade Games.

After a season with NEP, I played professionally in Vetcha, Germany, and Kuopio, Finland, until the pandemic where I had the opportunity to both set and swing. These experiences as both a setter and outside hitter have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the game's technical aspects, allowing me to coach athletes in all positions effectively.

I'm excited to assist the next generation of athletes in improving their skills and pursuing their dreams!

I’m Maleki, and I bring a wealth of experience and a unique perspective as our Recruiting Consultant. Having played football at the highest levels in the U.S. (NCAA Division I) and professionally in Canada, my journey is a testament to my dedication and skill. Growing up in the South, where football is more than just a sport, I excelled at every level.

My professional career spanned five years, including four with the Calgary Stampeders, where I won a Grey Cup, and one with the BC Lions. This extensive background provides me with deep insights into college sports, the necessary credentials, and the intricacies of the recruiting process.

I am a big advocate for education and ensuring that athletes find the right fit for them in a multitude of areas. Whether you have a clear vision of where you want to play or are just beginning and feeling lost, I am dedicated to ensuring athletes receive the tools and knowledge they need to achieve their individual goals.

I also volunteer my time and expertise to integrate nutritional guidance and support, ensuring that athletes are well-rounded and prepared for the demands of post-secondary sports.

Let’s work together to make your athletic dreams a reality!

Hello! I’m Kalissa Beltran, an assistant coach with Aspiring Athlete. My journey began in gymnastics, but volleyball quickly stole my heart. I played for several local club teams before spending six fulfilling years at SFU as a libero, retiring as a super senior.

Coaching has been an integral part of my life since my athletic days, with experience in camps, clinics, personal training, and mentorship. I’m eager to share my expertise with the next generation of athletes, helping them discover the opportunities available to them and pushing them to reach their fullest potential.

As a coach, I strive to be relatable. Having faced the challenges of not always being the starter or the standout player, I’ve developed valuable tools and insights that I believe are crucial for today’s youth. I’m dedicated to guiding athletes through their growth and helping them excel both on and off the court.
