Welcome to Aspiring Athlete

Aspiring Athlete is a holistic high-performance development program for youth athletes in BC who aspire to compete at the post-secondary level. Our mission is to bridge the gap between school and club sports and the physical, technical, and mental demands of university-level athletics. Through an integrated approach to skill development, strength and conditioning, and game IQ, our programs prepare prepares athletes to build strong foundations, meet higher standards, and pursue athletic scholarship opportunitieswith confidence.

  • Volleyball

    We offer year-round programs and camps for middle and high school athletes, designed for both girls and boys who play club volleyball and aim to compete at the post-secondary level. Training is by application and invite only and is led by national-level coaches, supported by former collegiate athletes and qualified club coaches, ensuring consistent, high-quality instruction. Sessions focus on skill development, athletic growth, and preparing athletes to excel at the next level. Our programs are open to all athletes, regardless of which club teams they play for.

  • Strength & Conditioning

    At the post-secondary level, working out isn’t optional—it’s key to becoming the best version of yourself. High school athletes who start strength training early and make it a consistent part of their routine not only to improve performance but also to reduce injury risk and increase their visibility to college coaches. Our program is designed to help athletes discover what they’re capable of through sport-specific conditioning, along with performance testing to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Football

    Athletes can choose from structured programs for consistent, high-quality training, private sessions for individual development, or small group sessions for a team-like environment. All training is led by Maleki Harris—an NCAA Division I alumnus, Grey Cup champion, and 5-year CFL veteran—who brings elite experience and attention to detail to every session. Training emphasizes refining technique, building discipline, and developing football IQ, with the ultimate goal of preparing athletes to compete at the post-secondary level.

In many other regions, athletes receive high-performance training through their schools at no cost. In BC, school sports are largely recreational, and advanced preparation is rarely funded. Your support helps provide the coaching, training, and development opportunities many athletes need to continue progressing and reaching the next level.
